Steel Grit & Steel Shot

When it comes to choosing an abrasive, steel grit and steel shot abrasives are equally effective.
What is Steel Grit and Steel Shot?
Each offer a unique profit advantage for your industrial job because both have the ability to be recycled and reused. The two are often used with a steel grit recycling machine to efficiently complete an industrial painting or blasting job.
Grit and shot abrasives are used interchangeably; however, both vary in size and hardness.
Steel Grit
Steel grit is irregular in shape and is used to erode or etch a surface. Generally steel grit works to remove tough surfaces with rust or thick coatings.
Steel Shot
Steel shot abrasives are circular and provide a smooth surface that results in a uniform, polished look.
Both grit and shot abrasives offer a low durability rate that minimizes dust residue. Generally, these abrasives are used for industrial jobs like bridge, wind tower, ship and railcar manufacturing and maintenance.
