CIM Coatings: Proven Waterproofing Solutions for Concrete and Containment
CIM® coatings are liquid-applied, elastomeric membranes trusted for long-term waterproofing and containment on critical infrastructure. If you need a system that resists water intrusion, chemical exposure, and abrasion—while staying flexible over time—CIM belongs on your short list.
Why Contractors Choose CIM
- High elongation with excellent crack-bridging capability for dynamic structures.
- Tough, abrasion- and chemical-resistant film stands up to demanding service.
- Cold-applied, liquid system conforms to details (penetrations, sumps, edges) without seams.
- Fast cures help turn jobs quickly and keep schedules on track.
Proven performance on landmark, high-visibility projects.
Where CIM Systems Excel
- Below-grade waterproofing and tunnel/utility structures
- Green roofs, decks, and split-slab assemblies
- Tanks, reservoirs, and secondary containment
- Potable water contact (NSF/ANSI 61-approved systems available)
- Industrial floors and process areas exposed to chemicals and traffic

Spotlight Products
ECO 1000 — Sustainable, Zero-VOC Waterproofing
100% solids, LEED-focused formulation with extremely low permeability and long-term durability. Ideal for roofs, decks, walkways, tanks, and secondary containment where sustainability and performance both matter.
CIM 1061 — Potable-Water Certified
NSF/ANSI 61-approved, liquid-applied urethane coating for tanks, treatment facilities, and any surface that will contact drinking water. Combines water resistance with abrasion durability and a tough elastomeric film.
CIM 1000 — Workhorse Membrane
A versatile liquid-applied elastomeric coating that adheres to most substrates and cures quickly to a tough, chemical- and abrasion-resistant barrier. Great for most general waterproofing and containment work.
CIM 1000 Trowel Grade — Detailing & Vertical Build
Thickened for detailing transitions, coves, penetrations, and vertical applications up to ⅛" (3 mm) nominal. Pairs with CIM 1000 membranes to create a complete, seamless system.
CIM Premix / CIM 800 / CIM 500 — Below-Grade & Non-UV Assemblies
CIM Premix and CIM 800 are designed for below-grade and topped applications, while CIM 500 excels as a durable, horizontal-grade membrane for buried or non-UV exposed conditions. Each creates a seamless, high-strength barrier that stands up to movement and backfill.
Choosing the Right CIM System
- Start with the application (below grade, tank lining, split slab, green roof, secondary containment) and exposure (UV, chemicals, abrasion, potable water).
- Verify substrate and detailing needs—plan for coves, penetrations, joints, and transitions with trowel-grade where needed.
- Use the selection guide for shortlisting, then finalize by spec requirements and cure/return-to-service timelines.
